Park City is in the western park of the United States, and it lies east of Salt Lake City. Is surrounded by the Wasatch mountain Range, it is home to Deer Valley Resort, Park City Mountain Resort, and Canyons Resort all known for their famous ski slopes. Utah Olympic Park, hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics this sprawling park built for the 2002 Olympics featuring ski jumps, bobsled rides, a zip line & museums. . Historic, Main Street is lined with buildings built during a 19th-century silver mining boom.
Peak travel times are Dec–Mar, when snowfall makes Park City’s ski resorts a popular destination, and Jun–Sep, when trails through the Wasatch Range attract mountain bikers and hikers. Park City is one of 4 Utah cities that host the Sundance Film Festival, an annual program of world cinema, independent films and documentaries. In the summer, the Deer Valley Music Festival features classical recitals and rock concerts, and the Kimball Arts Festival brings art, music performances and food stalls to Park City.
